Before a project starts

Rakesh Ranks is the professional brand of Rakesh Bandari, a Hyderabad-based freelancer providing SEO, web design, digital marketing, social media marketing and video editing services. This page explains the matters to agree before a project begins. Browsing the website or sending an enquiry does not, by itself, book a service or authorise a payment. The written proposal or agreement accepted for your project records the specific scope and commercial terms.

Scope, deliverables and quotes

A quote should identify the work included, deliverables, responsibilities, expected timeline and any exclusions. Different businesses need different levels of support, so the website does not advertise standard packages or starting prices. Work outside the agreed scope should be discussed and approved with any additional quote before it is carried out. Keep a written record of important changes.

Payments and third-party costs

Payment amounts, any advance, milestones and due dates should be agreed in writing before you pay. Ask whether advertising spend, hosting, domains, paid plugins, stock assets, subscriptions or other third-party charges are included. Do not assume these costs are covered by a service quote unless the proposal says so. Third-party purchases and renewals should be discussed before a commitment is made.

Client information, access and approvals

Accurate business information, access permissions, brand assets and timely feedback help the project move forward. Share material you have the right to use. You remain responsible for confirming your business claims, offers, prices and any required approvals. Access should be limited to the work agreed, and credentials should not be sent through the public enquiry form.

Timelines, feedback and revisions

The proposed schedule depends on the agreed scope and the availability of required information, access and approvals. The proposal should explain the revision allowance and how feedback will be collected. A change of direction, additional deliverables or delayed approvals may require an updated schedule or quote. Raise any concern about an agreed deliverable promptly so it can be reviewed against the brief.

SEO and marketing outcomes

SEO, advertising and content work involve factors outside one freelancer’s control, including search systems, competition, platform policies, budgets, customer demand and your offer. A service agreement is not a promise of a particular Google position, AI citation, traffic figure, enquiry volume or revenue. Case-study results describe the stated project and period; they do not predict identical results for another business. Reporting and success measures should be agreed for your project.

AI-assisted work and human review

AI may assist with research organisation, ideas, drafts and analysis where it is useful to the agreed work. Outputs require human review for accuracy, relevance and business context. If your project has restrictions on AI tools, confidential data or content ownership, raise them before the scope is agreed. See the Editorial and AI Policy for how this website approaches published content.

Cancellation, refunds and pauses

Cancellation, pause and refund conditions should be included in the written proposal and agreed before payment. There is no single website-wide refund period or percentage advertised here. If you need to stop or change a project, contact Rakesh with the project details so completed work, outstanding deliverables, approved third-party costs and the agreed terms can be reviewed. This page does not remove any rights that apply under law.

Ownership, licences and handover

The proposal should explain ownership and handover of final deliverables, source files, websites, domains, advertising accounts and other assets. Third-party software, fonts, stock media and platform services remain subject to their respective licences and terms. Confirm any ongoing licence, renewal, maintenance or support requirements before final handover; ongoing support should not be assumed to be included indefinitely.
